A Raisin in the Sun Web Quest Activity

We will begin this activity when you return to school after the break on Monday, 27 February. I estimate that you will probably require three class sessions to complete what is required. Your work will be collected AFTER each class meeting to ensure that ALL students have been engaged with this activity and NOT visiting unrelated sites.

Upon your entry in Room 402, you will be assigned to a specific "numbered"computer monitor-this enables me to observe your computer activity.

Dear Students:

Welcome to the twenty-five hour- CREDIT RECOVERY -after-school program where you will be given the opportunity to earn an English credit. Certainly, in order to do so, you must complete in-class and out-of-class assignments.

The structure and format of the class will involve small group and whole class activities. Your attendance is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL since you will not be able to "make-up" the work completed during your absence. You have been given the opportunity to earn a credit by attending the class for only TWENTY-FIVE HOURS OF ATTENDANCE as well as completing ALL work requested.

Please examine the blog-posts below to obtain an overview of the reading selections and class-related activities. In addition, I have included the MAJOR assignment that you will be asked to complete PRIOR to the last day of our session together. Several of our sessions together will involve us engaged in an activity in the computer room (402).

I am looking forward to working with all of you in a "relaxed-productive" classroom environment.

K. Diedrich
